Celebrating Mother's Day
This year we’re featuring long-time, loyal customers of Head over Heels, friends, Bec and Jess.
It's always fun when Bec and Jess visit us in-store with their gorgeous kids. We love to see what styles they are loving and are always inspired by their chic outfits.
Tell us a bit about yourself:
Jess: I’m Jess, I’m a mother, primary teacher, maternal mental health advocate and I love shopping!
Bec: I’m Bec, I lived in London/Edinburgh for a few years before moving back to NZ with my husband Chris, who’s from Edinburgh. We have a daughter called Stella and I’m a stay at home mum
Who are you a Mum to?
Jess: Three beautiful boys; Liam 4.5years, Freddie 2.5 years and Kit who is 8 months.
Bec: Stella who will be 2 next month.
What have you learnt since becoming a mother?
Jess: Parenting is challenging so I have learned the importance of prioritising filling my own cup up. This is to ensure I am the best mum version of myself.
Bec: To trust myself and not sweat the small stuff as much.
What’s your favourite thing about being a Mum?
Jess: Seeing the wonders of the world through the boys while remaining present.
Bec: Hard question!! Having a wee mate who looks to me for guidance and the laughs we give each other.
How will you spend Mothers' Day?
Jess: Surrounded by my family with a morning coffee and hopefully breakfast in bed….
Bec: Coffee will definitely be involved and if the weather is nice we will go on a nice walk.
What do you do when you find time for yourself?
Jess: Shopping or dinner with the gals, exercise and a good book!
Bec: At the moment, going to a pilates class is perfect me-time.
What's your favourite on-the-go outfit?
Jess: Ribbed top, blazer and midi skirt with HOH shoes of course ✨
Bec: Usually an oversized blazer, t-shirt and jeans
What’s on your HOH wishlist?
Jess: Deadly Ponies Kaze boots and either the Abigayle Turner Puff or Vic Matie Jackson
Bec: Abigayle Muswell boots either chelsea or zip . . . decisions!!
