    Nestled on High Street in the vibrant heart of Christchurch’s CBD, Head over Heels is more than just a boutique shoe store.

    We’re a family-owned and operated business, passionate customer service and handcrafted shoes and accessories sourced from around the globe. We also run our rapidly growing website out of this premise, adding to the dynamic energy of our store. We’re a small, close-knit team that thrives on creativity, individuality, and a shared love for fashion, design, and, of course, a good flat white.     Hybrid part-time/full-time (25-35 Hours)

    We’re looking for a flexible and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team at Head Over Heels. This role sits between part-time and full-time, offering between 25 and 35 hours per week. It’s ideal for someone who loves connecting with people, providing warm, personalised service, and has experience working in retail. We’re a small, dynamic team, so if you're keen to contribute creatively beyond the shop floor, we’d love to hear from you.

    The role:
    As a Sales Assistant at Head Over Heels, you'll focus on delivering a memorable in-store experience while also having the chance to contribute to other parts of the business such as visual merchandising, our website, and social media. You’ll work closely with the store manager and be part of a team that values fresh ideas and genuine enthusiasm.

    This is a flexible role that can work around school hours for the right candidate. You’ll need to be available Sunday through Wednesday, with occasional Thursdays as required.  

    What we are looking for:

  • • Someone warm and engaging who enjoys talking with people and building genuine customer relationships
    • Prior experience in retail or customer service
    • A bubbly personality with a proactive, self-motivated approach
    • A love of fashion and a good eye for styling
    • Confidence in juggling a variety of tasks and using initiative day to day
    • Someone who thrives in a supportive, creative team environment





  • Part-Time Sales Assistant (10 - 15 Hours)

    We are seeking a bright and enthusiastic part-time sales assistant with a passion for customer service. Previous retail experience is preferred. The role involves delivering exceptional customer service, building a loyal client base, and working closely with the team to ensure smooth store operations. We're looking for someone self-motivated, confident, and able to create meaningful connections with customers. Experience with Vend or Shopify is a plus. Availability to work Saturdays or Sundays is required, with flexibility during the week.
