Celebrating Mother's Day with Greta
This Mother's Day we're celebrating our very own Greta. Greta is the owner of Head over Heels and mum to her seventeen month old boy James. We thought we'd share a little bit about her first year of being a mum while running a business.
What have you learnt since becoming a mother?
That I can't do everything and don't sweat the small stuff. In terms of the business I've learnt to put my trust in other people to do a lot of the work that I used to do myself.
I now understand why my mum sacrificed so much for us growing up. She was a solo mum and would always drop everything for us. Having my own child I now understand that unconditional love.
How do you juggle motherhood and running your own business?
I'm very fortunate to have my super granny nanny (my mum Mary) who looks after James when I work in the shop. I have an amazing team of staff who support me and work well with me. They've adapted well and become extremely flexible around my needs.
What does Mother's Day mean to you?
There's so much joy comes being a mum for me. I don't get too caught up on one day of the year. I feel very blessed to have my little boy in my life and it feels like Mother's Day is every day for me.
How will you spend Mothers' Day?
My Mum will be in town this year for Mother's Day so we'll grab a coffee and take James to the park.
What do you do when you find time for yourself?
I listen to Podcasts and go to O Studio to go chill out in the Sauna. I also love getting out into nature and going for walks in the hills.
What's your go-to on the go outfit?
A good pair of chunky boots and a jumpsuit. I also don't go anywhere without my Deadly Ponies Poucheroo.
What are your favourite shoes for running around with James?
Elena Iachi 'Ozvaldo' boots & Ardour 'Euphemia' in white.
What shoes are you loving when you're getting more dressed up?
Elena Iachi 'Ziphora' & Abigayle 'Paris' boots
